Originsis completely different from the older games. Some aspects are better, some are worse, but the truth is that it feels like a completely different franchise. Out of the three last, Origins is by far the best one. I don't really think you need to take a break, to be honest.

Odysseyis bigger, funnier (story-wise I mean) and with more grind needed, feels like a super hero game and has close to nothing from the Assassins storyline, Origins is more related to the main story of the franchise and is a smaller game with a more serious tone, but combat feels slower and the main character is less charming than Kassandra imho.
